Remember Beeri
Embrace the values of community, peace, and resilience that make kibbutz life so special!
šš¤šš
Honor the spirit of Kibbutz Beeri and keep the hope alive for peaceful days and the rebuilding of this amazing community. Kibbutz Beeri, which took the hardest hit in Hamas's October 7 attack, is all about resilience and unity. Tragically, 101 residents, including children, lost their lives, and 30 people were abducted from the kibbutz that day.
Nestled in the Western Negev, just 4 kilometers east of the Gaza Strip, Kibbutz Beeri was founded at the end of Yom Kippur in 1946. It was named after Berel Katznelson, with "Beeri" being his Hebrew name. Before the tragic events of October 7, Beeri was renowned for its pro-peace stance. The kibbutz had a special fund to provide financial assistance to Gazans with work permits, and its members often volunteered to drive sick Palestinians to an oncology center in southern Israel.
Wear this bracelet to keep the memory of Kibbutz Beeri close to your heart, show your support for those affected, and make sure the legacy of Beeri lives on.
